Last-click attribution
Last-click attribution credits a sale entirely to the final ad or link a customer clicked before buying.
It is simple and hard to argue with, which is why analytics tools defaulted to it for years. Its bias is towards channels that close — branded search, retargeting — over ones that introduce.
Running one channel at a time is the cheapest way to see past it: the effect of each shows up on its own.
