Bid ceiling
A bid ceiling is the highest price an auction will accept, which caps what any buyer can pay for a placement.
Most ad auctions have no ceiling, so a well-funded competitor can always outbid a small one. A published maximum means a small buyer knows the most a slot can ever cost.
BidSurvivor's slots have one, which is why an outbid can always be answered.
